ORANGE VELVET
6 1/2" bloom, 30" tall, Mid Season + rebloom, Semi-Evergreen
A special flower in the garden - the big, full blooms are a luscious orange color with veining and a faint midrib. Tends to fade in the sun, but it goes from one pretty shade of orange to another. An Oakes family favorite.

Benton, LA — Came as the bonus in my first order. What a nice addition! This daylily grew, and grew, and bloomed within 2-3 weeks of when I first planted them! The color is lovely!
-
Balch Springs, TX — First the positives: nice foliage, tall scapes with 3 and 4 way branching plus is a dependable rebloomer with flowers that are big and great color. Now the negative: flowers do not like the sun, especially north Texas sun, deforming badly by afternoon with a very washed color. I love the plant but am going to move the bed to give it more shade.
-
FRISCO, TX — I have many daylilies in my garden, and this is by far one of my favorites, with big and beautiful blooms. This will be Orange Velvet's second season in my garden and I can't wait!
-
Richmond, VA — Pretty enough to eat, and it blooms forever. This one is first-class all the way.
-
Greenup, KY — Beatiful orange color, reminds me of shebert ice cream. This dayliliy is tall and shows up from a distance, huge orange blooms.Recommened highly.
