LADY LUCILLE

Intense, deep orange blooms shine in the garden. Petals are darker than sepals, with a deeper orange blush extending from the throat and a prominent yellow midrib. Very eye-catching.

Brunswick, OH — Very good, blooming in the first year. Dark orange. Will probably look like fire next year.
Cleveland, OH -
Woodruff, SC — An attractive flower. Very nice orange color. Popular and produces a nice amount of blooms.
-
Cleveland, MS — 'Lady Lucille' is a refined beauty indeed... far more appealing in person than the catalog picture! This is her first full growing season in my garden, and the blooms continued from late May through mid July (zone 8b). 'Lady Lucille' is my all-time favorite daylily!!
-
Indianapolis, IN — I hadn't ordered because of this picture, so this is my first year - if I were Lucille I'd call my agent and complain about the pic! She is so beautiful - like Tuscawilla Tigress but shorter and cranked up a notch.
-
Delaware, OH — Lady Lucille is a knock-your-socks-off daylily. She has been blooming in my garden for 2 years. I couldn't be more pleased with her performance. The color is simply stunning. If you get a chance plant Mauna Loa (which I have) as well, and then you will be like me - trying to decide which just elicits the oohh's and aahh's more. Manua Loa's blooming period is ending when Lady Lucille is beginning and I get dizzy looking back and forth, trying to decide which is more beautiful.
-
Oak Lawn, IL — AHS or not -- Lady Lucille is an exquisite beauty! Such a vibrant neon orange with large blossoms. A real stand-out in my garden, literally glistening in the afternoon sun! And this is only her first year in my garden! The photo pictured does not capture her brilliance!
-
Fairfield, WA — Lady Lucille is a class act. She has turned more than a few heads in my garden. She has a Tuscan quality about her, grand and worldly.
-
Knoxville, TN — WOW!! This is a real beauty! Just received this daylily from my mom, who is an avid collector, and now I'm on my way to being a big daylily fan!! Planted it last week and within days have had big, beautiful blooms. Really brightens up the garden. Can't wait to see what my other lilies do!!
-
Toms River, NJ — Lady Lucille produces multiple rich deep orange blooms that are nonfading and long lasting. A surprisingly deligtful choice.
-
Blacklick, OH — I ordered this daylily two years ago, and it has really come into its own this year. There were so many blooms (there are still a few left to bloom), and the gorgeous orange blooms are HUGE! My neighbors (and I!!!) LOVE my Oakes Daylilies!
