Lavender Deal Daylily Features:

‘Lavender Deal’ daylily is one of our own introductions. Big blooms of rich, deep lavender around a yellow throat are approximately 7″ and grow on scapes that reach about 2′ tall in our East Tennessee garden. Popular with our garden visitors because of its impressive blooms. This variety does just what you want it to do: it grows well, blooms well reblooms well, and looks sensational doing it.

A mid to late season daylily, we generally begin to see these gorgeous purple blooms around the middle of June. If you are to our north, you’ll likely see it a few weeks after us. If you are to our south, you’ll see it a bit before us. Fantastic rebloom as well.

A dormant daylily, Lavender Deal is best grown in planting zones 3-8 as it needs a sustained cold period in the winter in order to be successful.

When planted with orange, yellow, red or gold, Lavender Deal tends to bring a bit of peaceful calm to a bold, colorful garden. When paired with near white or lavender, Lavender Deal adds a bit of unexpected sizzle. Interesting, beautiful, and a perfect addition to the mid to late season garden.

HOW TO GROW DAYLILIES: Daylilies are very easy-to-grow. They like a lot of sun and they like a lot of water. For more information on how to care for daylilies, click here.
WHAT DAYLILIES CAN I GROW: Most of you can grow any of the daylilies we sell. If you live in an area with a sustained cold period like we do in East Tennessee, you can grow all the varieties. However, If you live in an area that doesn’t get freezing weather in the winter (like zones 9 and 10), dormant varieties won’t work for you; you’ll need to choose evergreen or semi-evergreen varieties.

BIG PLANTS! When it comes to daylily plants, bigger is better! All of the plants we ship will be three fans or larger — two or three times (or more) what you might receive from other companies. Larger plants get established faster and bloom more quickly!

FARM-FRESH TO YOU! All of your plants will be freshly dug when you order. The leaves are trimmed and the plants are washed and air-dried. Your daylilies will be out of the ground less than 48 hours before they’re headed your way.

BONUS DAYLILIES: We send free daylilies (we call them “bonus” daylilies) with every order. These daylilies are equal to about 20% of your order, you get to choose what you’d like at checkout.

ABOUT US: Oakes Daylilies is a family-owned daylily farm that’s been in business for three generations. We are known in the industry as Daylily Experts and grow over 1000 varieties of daylilies on nearly 70 acres in East Tennessee. I am not a big “lavender/purple” person, but this is a gorgeous daylily, more purple and full of blooms the first season in my garden. I love it!

I would give it a twelve if I could! I can’t believe how much this daylily blooms! Last year I had FOUR bloom cycles and I’m on my way toward that now with my third sprouting up just before Labor Day. In Alabama, things keep blooming up until Thanksgiving and even Christmas. Who knows….maybe I’ll get FIVE this year!!! Great size and color. Incredible!!!!!

  4. Chicago, IL

This is a big, beautiful plant! It really stands out with huge flowers that look just like the photo. (More of a bright purple than “lavender”.) It makes a good focal point and contrasts well with yellow and peach daylilies.

I love this daylily! This is its first year in my garden and it is covered with gorgeous blooms! I love the clear color and large bloom. Believe me, it’s much prettier than the picture. My neighbors tell me they can’t wait until I can divide it. You can’t go wrong with this one!

Lavender Deal was one of my free daylilies!. Of all the purple toned or lavender daylilies I have since purchased, this is my favorite. Very large plant, large thick bloom plenty of scapes. Beautiful intense color.
