‘Super Coral’ daylily is one of our own introductions. As the name suggests, blooms are a gorgeous tropical blend of coral and orange with a hint of pink mixed in. A beautiful color like nothing else we’ve seen, its 5 1/2″ blooms are a profusion of lush, tropical color. A perfect fit for the middle of the garden border, it reaches around 26″ in our East Tennessee garden.

Super Coral gets raves due to its unbelievable color but it’s also a profuse bloomer and a good rebloomer, too, making it pretty close to perfect in our garden. Available exclusively at Oakes Daylilies.

Super Coral Daylily Features:

Meet Super Coral. One of our own introductions, the blooms are a gorgeous tropical blend of coral and orange with a hint of pink mixed in. A beautiful color like nothing else we’ve seen… and only available at Oakes Daylilies.

Big 5 1/2″ blooms are a profusion of lush, tropical color. A perfect fit for the middle of the garden border,  and it reaches around 26″ in our East Tennessee garden.  A mid season bloomer, we typically begin to see the first blooms of Super Coral in early June here in zone 7. If you are to our north, you’ll likely see it a few weeks later. If you live to our south, you’ll see it a couple of weeks before we do.

Super Coral gets raves due to its unbelievable color but it’s also a profuse bloomer and a good rebloomer, too, making it pretty close to perfect in our garden.

A dormant variety, Super Coral should be grown in gardens that get a sustained cold period in the winter (zones 3-8).

Thanks to its unbelievable color, Super Coral looks fantastic with near white, gold and hot pink daylilies; we think it looks extraordinary when paired with purple or lavender.

HOW TO GROW DAYLILIES: Daylilies are very easy-to-grow. They like a lot of sun and they like a lot of water. For more information on how to care for daylilies, click here.
WHAT DAYLILIES CAN I GROW: Most of you can grow any of the daylilies we sell. If you live in an area with a sustained cold period like we do in East Tennessee, you can grow all the varieties. However, If you live in an area that doesn’t get freezing weather in the winter (like zones 9 and 10), dormant varieties won’t work for you; you’ll need to choose evergreen or semi-evergreen varieties.

BIG PLANTS! When it comes to daylily plants, bigger is better! All of the plants we ship will be three fans or larger — two or three times (or more) what you might receive from other companies. Larger plants get established faster and bloom more quickly!

FARM-FRESH TO YOU! All of your plants will be freshly dug when you order. The leaves are trimmed and the plants are washed and air-dried. Your daylilies will be out of the ground less than 48 hours before they’re headed your way.

BONUS DAYLILIES: We send free daylilies (we call them “bonus” daylilies) with every order. These daylilies are equal to about 20% of your order, you get to choose what you’d like at checkout.

    Top 10 daylily

Out of over 300+ and counting varietys Super Coral is one of my favorites. Oakes knocked it out of the park with this one!!! It is difficult to describe her beauty, she is simply spectacular. Her color like no other with hints of pink and even hues of purple I can never get enough of her beauty. Bud size and count is magnificent. With this obsession
( thanks Oakes) out of control, real estate is coveted but she has her own section! She goes with everyone. And is a good example of why my husband has less grass to mow year after year. She is truly a MUST HAVE !!! Even with South Seas electric color Super Coral gives all Corals a run for the money! (The lawn will be a little smaller next year! ) Keep the blooms coming!

    It's All About the Color

I don’t know about you, but after years of collecting Oakes Daylilies, I find myself searching the catalog and website for something different. I have most of the major colors shown and after all, it is about the color. Last fall I ordered three Super Coral after seeing the gorgeous picture on this page from Super Coral Lover. This year, my jaw dropped in disbelief when the Super Coral flowers began to open. This flower is a WOW! It looks just like the picture below showing a blend of orange and coral with pink veining mixed in. I have a lot of orange flowers and even South Seas, but this color is still very different. I just love it and want you to know you that if you are looking for that special different color, you may be just as surprised as I was. I would include a photo but I can’t this year due to the local deer!

    Sooo Much YESSSSSS right here

    Super Coral Lover

I love this plant. I may just dig up all my other daylilies and plant this in their place. The color is exactly what I was looking for. I only wish it was more less expensive.
