I bought Red Flag based on the London, OH review and boy was it right! I planted it so I could easily see all sides and it is beautiful every which way. I think I like it from the side or back best to see the sun glow through the flowers. But a real beauty no matter how you look at it.

Got at the daylily show last year and planted late in the season. It got settled in well and now I have 3 large scapes (so far) with my first bloom today. Amazing !!! I got this one for the size of the flower and height of the scapes as it was being placed at a distance from the house….and I am not disappointed. It screams “look at me” in a beautiful way. 40 ft from the raod !!  Shocked it’s only $20 and there are not more reviews on this one. Mine is doing beautifully in southern middle TN.

Wow, Wow, Wow!!! This bloom is absolutely huge and bright and gorgeous!! Bloomed just 2 months after planting and again the second year with several very tall scapes topped with multiple buds!! This one is a keeper!!!

If ever there was a daylily as spectacular from the back side as from the front, this is it! Absolutely glows in the sun from either side. 2006 was its first year for me, and I planted it late, but it did not disappoint. While I’m eagerly awaiting all my Oakes daylilies’ spring awakening, Red Flag is one that I’m especially eager to hover over and watch grow, bud and bloom!
